a technique used to evaluate a product by testing it on others
a model or replica of a machine or structure, used for instructional or experimental purposes
A major part of the design process is mocking up a concept or design. Mock-ups often times are the true driving force behind design changes, adaptions, or improvements. Why? Functional mock-ups give a designer and users the ability to relate, use, and interact with a product. Without mock-ups and user testing, the designer would be blindly creating a product which may have many flaws, pain points, and functionality issues.
So, Mozzic designers are mocking up, testing, re-mocking up, and then re-testing the Loop iPad case. This process will ensure the quality of the design and functionality that the Loop will provide to it's users, so that there may be a streamlined and refined design going to you, the consumer.
